Corpus Christi

Solemnidad del Santísimo Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo, fiesta que honra a Jesucristo, verdadera y realmente presente substancialmente bajo las apariencias del pan y del vino.

Con una procesión repleta de fieles alegres y entusiasmados, celebramos la Solemnidad de Corpus Christi, el domingo 2 de junio.

Partiendo desde la Parroquia San Bruno, con su párroco el Pbro. Michaell Javier Duarte a la cabeza, las calles fueron inundadas con el perfume de Cristo, hasta llegar a la iglesia de Santo Domingo de Guzmán, en la que el P. Vicente Croes, EP, recibía la procesión concluyendo la celebración de la Santa Misa.
En este día, la Iglesia tributa a la Eucaristía -presencia real de Cristo- culto público y solemne de adoración, amor y gratitud en la más importante de todas las procesiones del año. Es un momento propicio para recordar que la Eucaristía es la “fuente y culmen de la vida cristiana” (Concilio Vaticano II, Lumen gentium, 11).
